Shana Cohen hails from Passaic, New Jersey and joins the Aish team as an educator in the Young Professionals department. Before getting her Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University, she studied business, political science, and psychology towards her Bachelor’s degree at Touro University, and spent a gap year in Israel studying at Machon Raaya seminary.
After spending several years as a high school teacher, mentor, swim instructor, and clinical case manager on the crisis intervention team at Amudim, Shana went on to found and direct a charity in New Jersey that empowers young teens through acts of giving.
Shana has a relaxed, fun, open personality with strong leadership and management skills. She is full of creativity, enthusiasm, and is passionate about educating the Jewish people to reach their maximum potential.
Shana lives in Hendon with her husband and fellow adventure partner, Rabbi Cookie Cohen, along with their two vivacious little girls. She is dedicated to building a home that is authentic, warm, welcoming, and radiates joy (and good food).
