Rabbi Naftali Schiff is a leading social entrepreneur and visionary in the Jewish community, who has conceived and built numerous successful organisations working to ensure Jewish futures. These include Aish UK, GIFT, JRoots, Chazon, Forum for Jewish Leadership, Legacy Live, Shelanu, Ta’amim, Time4Torah and Eilecha. With a commitment to Jewish continuity, he has inspired countless community leaders and educators who have collectively engaged with hundreds of thousands of people in the UK and across the Jewish world.
Rabbi Schiff received his rabbinic ordination from the Jerusalem Rabbinate and a Diploma of Education from the Israeli Ministry of Education in addition to reading International Relations at the London School of Economics. During the 1990s he established and grew a series of highly regarded educational programmes in Israel, following which he returned to the UK to lead Aish UK, an organisation committed to inspiring young Jews to develop a deeper connection to Judaism. Schiff subsequently founded and supported the development of ten diverse educational charities, which in 2015 were brought together to form the family of Jewish Futures (JF), of which he is Chief Executive. The aim of Jewish Futures is to create, incubate and scale dynamic educational organisations and initiatives working together to ensure a vibrant Jewish Future. He is widely respected for his work in Holocaust education and documentary production in the field and has interviewed hundreds of survivors around the world to ensure their values and legacy can be passed on. In 2021, he founded Halev, a research-based initiative to encourage innovation and creation of new educational methodologies to impact engagement with Jewish identity via informal education.
As Executive Director of Aish UK, Schiff continues to oversee the expansion of the organisation nationwide engaging young Jews in schools, universities and communities across the country with refreshing and engaging social and educational activities.
